Condemnation!

Romans 8:1 KJV

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit".

Every time I observe my husband watch a game, I get amused and fascinated. Did I remember to tell you that I endure watching sports for his sake? He will move from every spot in the living room, and when he gets excited, he will sit right in front of the television...lol of course you will hear "are you kidding me?, he didn't score that goal? Guys wake up" and so on whenever his team is not giving him the desired result, all in his living room. If they win, they get his credit and if not, it appears as if they have been kidding round. He is not a stranger when it comes to the practice that goes into preparation for a major game like that, yet he still has something to say.

So my point you wonder....sometimes when you too put in effort to be a good husband, father and the desired result is not forth coming, perhaps those who are close to you, your wife and children who see  what effort you put in who should cut you some slack, understand or just support you are the first to condemn you. As a woman, you live everyday with the hope that you will meet up to the standard of your husband but he always has something condescending to say about you.

You go all out to be there for your extended family, friends, church members and the only feedback you hear from a third party is that "other people do way more than that, what has he/she done"? Maybe your boss condemns every effort you make to contribute positively at work because you intimidate him. Perhaps it's a particular in-law who has refused to be appeased whatever condemnation you face right now, know that it is not for you, walk in the confidence of the word of God by not feeding into the scheme of the enemy. The devil will not stop at anything, he will use absolutely anyone willing to work for him to discourage your effort and spirit. That could be anyone! Matthew 10:36 "A man's foe shall be they of his own household"

The comments that you hear weary your heart and mind even among brethren and you consider and reconsider your commitment....be encouraged today and know that God will never forget all that you do. He sees in secret and He will reward you for good. He does not condemn, He commends your effort towards your home, career, family, friends and His work! Talk is easy and cheap, that is why you need to maintain your focus on God alone. Be assured, He will not owe any man. He will reward you accordingly.

While you await your reward, be reminded that there is therefore no condemnation against you!

Blessings!

Still in the Business

Still in the business....

I am sure you are wondering what business? God is still in the business of doing great things. He will only make your provision available where he has called you to be. If you are not at the place of your calling, you will miss your provision.  Do not worry about managing on His behalf or be overwhelmed by the magnitude or rarity of the case at hand. I heard a testimony this evening and I can not but marvel at the awesomeness of God. Here it is....

A sister who has faithfully served God when it did not look like any brother was in close perimeter had God answer in a special way. There were no brothers in her age group in the church she was attending and even the pastor in charge was worried for her physically speaking.
A brother from another church came visiting his younger siblings and there God told him "that is your wife". It was too easy to be true, so he went back home to pray and he prayed through! The rest is testimony because they are getting married in a couple of months!

What is your challenge? In what way are you attempting to help God because what God has said does not match what you see physically? God watches over His word and He does not lie. Hold on to the word of The Lord because He is Still in the Business of doing the Impossible!

Blessings!

It is Monday!

Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths".

That means different things to different people. For some it will mean confirmation and validation of positive things; new jobs, improvements, advancement and promotion. For some others, it will be business as usual for challenges that have refused to budge even after a lot of effort. Unpaid bills, unemployment, illness, troubled marriage, discouragement and the list goes on...

With the thoughts of challenges come worry, stress which I sum up as borrowed trouble. So how do I face my mountain you ask? Here are a few suggestions that have worked for me over the years;
Prayer
Praise
Application of the word of God
Asking for help from the right quarters
Positive thinking
Rising up again even after many falls.

Tomorrow is another day, loaded with potentials, untapped resources and with absolute trust in a God that has promised us the dew of heaven we can move our mountain. So will my spouse wake up a transformed individual with all our issues miraculously resolved? Maybe, maybe not...Most of the things we see around in our world go through metamorphosis and that might just be the transformation you need to patiently go through.

God is not a man that He should lie regardless of what happens. Applying a combination of the suggestions above with the help of the Holy Spirit will move you forward and towards victory. Avoid a manic Monday and make it a memorable Monday!

Have a blessed, glorious and fulfilled week ahead.
