Failure to plan

Men do not plan to fail but they sometimes fail to plan. If you will not embark on a project without thinking it through, why would you commit your future into someone's hands without fear or care of what could go wrong? You cannot afford to be carefree in the issue marriage as God does not expect you to go in and out of a marriage relationship. I see around today so many broken relationships and my heart bleeds because a lot of the heart aches around can be avoided.
=>Why do people fail to prepare? A lot of female friends are in a hurry to go into marriage because their friends are getting married.
=>They can not wait to wear the latest designers and look like a princess on their wedding day.
=>They are of age
=>Their parents are waiting to have friends and family attend their daughter or son's society wedding.
=> There is this guy or girl I can not get over
=> They need someone who will split the bills with them
Have you ever asked yourself why you want to get married? You need to look yourself in the mirror and answer that question candidly. If the reasons are primarily because of other people's interest, then you need to slow down and understand what God's idea of marriage is all about.
Marriage is a union between a man and a woman. It is primarily for procreation, companionship and fellowship. God's idea of marriage is not for selfish purposes but He desires to fellowship with married couples in a peaceful union and as such He has outlined how they should live together in His word Gen. 2:24 NKJ "Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh".
How do I plan when I do not even know who I will be getting married to? Well, you need to pray and ask God for His will. Even if you are in a place where there are no marriageable men/ladies God is able to bring your own spouse to locate you. Remember you can not pattern your idea of marriage after Hollywood's and expect things to work out God's way. I welcome your comments and questions. Blessings.
