Keep the dream

Young Joseph sat down lonely and discouraged in the Egyptian prison, dark, lonely dungeon. He wondered if he had been hallucinating, perhaps all he had heard and believed about the God of Israel and His ability to save was just fable borne out of youthful exuberance, if he had any hope of making it in Egypt as a diligent, loyal slave, that hope just got dashed...seriously, who will deliver him from his master, Portiphar, captain of the guard?

As He adjusted yet again to life in the prison, the dream of greatness flashed through his mind, why won't this illusion leave me?, he wondered, frustrated and discouraged. He went about his life in prison doing what he knows how to do,he stood out and yet caught the attention of the keeper of the prison. His work caused him to stand out and he shone. He had a good rapport with the keeper of the prison and hope arose again. Indeed you a a faithful God of Israel he whispered when told he was in charge of fellow prisoners. He consoled himself about the fact that things are getting better.

However, the dream would not just go away, Lord, this is good, I am grateful and sure will stay out of trouble he concluded. However, only the will of The Lord shall be done. The dream kept coming back, he wondered, tried to figure out how, he then encouraged himself that the dream was maybe meant to be accomplished in the prison. He appreciated God for favour before the guard, then seemingly close opportunities presented when he interpreted the dreams of the baker and cup bearer. These ones are close to the corridor of power, finally this is it...but the cup bearer forgot because he is human...

At the rightness of time, there was a need, an opportunity, the right occasion that caused planning to meet with purpose and resulted in promotion. Shame came to an end, Joseph proffered solution to Pharaoh's problem and he became exulted! In due time, the dream came to pass, that tells me that God  is able to sort you out, defend, reinstate and bring to fulfilment the desires of your heart.

Genesis 45:7-8 NKJV

"And God sent me before you preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you that sent me hither but God and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt".

Joseph's dream was realized in a bigger capacity than he ever could dream of, I encourage you not to give up when your own dream is being tested.
It is a new month, goals are being set, plans are being made, wait patiently on The Lord for direction and instruction. How he will accomplish His purpose is known to Him alone. Do not allow the things you see right now to cloud or hinder you from pursuing God's plan and purpose for your life. Speak faith and not fear or doubt and watch His words and promises fulfilled in you life in Jesus name.
